Nº 01 — How it began
It started on a night train, with a borrowed camera and nowhere in particular to be.
I grew up between two languages and three cities, and photography was the first thing that felt like home wherever I was. Weddings came later — a friend’s, on a cliff above the Atlantic, where I spent more time watching her grandmother than the vows.
That has not really changed. I still look for the person at the edge of the frame, the light coming in sideways, the minute after everyone stops posing.
Today I photograph a small number of weddings each year, mostly abroad, for couples who care more about how the day felt than how it looked.

Nº 02 — What I believe
Three things
I hold on to.
01
Natural light
Window light, overcast skies, the last ten minutes of sun. I build the day around it rather than fighting it.
02
Quiet direction
A nudge towards better light, never a pose. You will spend most of the day forgetting I am there.
03
Honest moments
The ordinary in-between — a hand on a back, a parent’s glance, the walk back from the ceremony.
Nº 03 — Places I love
Places I keep
returning to.

Nº 04 — Before we meet
Three things
you should know.
I will probably cry during your vows. I have made peace with it.
I pack a sewing kit, safety pins and a spare charger — for you, not me.
If the light is good at six in the morning, I will gently suggest six in the morning.
Nº 05 — Kind words
“
Elena found the quiet in a day that had none. Every photograph feels like a deep breath — we keep going back to them.
