The castle garden

The ceremony took place between rows of heritage tomatoes, under a pergola Camille’s grandmother had sketched on a napkin. We started photographing at noon and the light simply refused to leave.

A table for ninety

Dinner was served on one long table that ran the length of the orangery. I spent most of it hidden behind a column, waiting for the toasts to undo everyone.

At ten o’clock the band moved outside and the château lit up behind the dancers — a quiet blue hour that lasted almost as long as the party.
